Dear Sweden, Australian, and Britain Fans -
Thank you for your e-mails and comments. Unfortunatley Jo De La Rosa and I are not together. We were unable to go to Hawaii because of scheduling conflicts and other personal reasons. Jo is a wonderful woman and I wish her the best of luck on her music and acting career.
Slade Smiley unfortunatley is still a tool. The house you saw in Date My Ex: Jo & Slade was not his house, it was rented out. I believe Slade Smiley is now dating Gretchen from Housewives of Orange County. It’s sad because Jo, Slade, and Gretchen use to be all friends and met through real estate. I’m sure it’s very awkward for Jo right now.
Of course Slade is trying to run on the Housewives bandwagon because he’s no longer with Jo, lost his job, lost his house - so he’s dating Gretchen to be on the next season on Housewives. Honestly, I think it’s retarded, but Slade Smiley has nothing going for him. On set of Date My Ex…Slade really thought he was CELEBRITY! Note to the world *Reality TV does not make a celebrity or give you credibility for being a serious actor. Good luck though Slade and Gretchen - I hope you guys make some beautiful babies together and you can dress them in Slades wool scarfs….

Slade Smiley Gets Arrested!
‘Housewife’ star Slade Smiley arrested
Reality show cast member arrested on civil contempt warrant.
THE ORANGE COUNTY REGISTER
COSTA MESA – Slade Smiley, who earned his 15 minutes of fame on the reality show “The Real Housewives of Orange County” was arrested on a warrant Friday.
Smiley, 38, was arrested by Costa Mesa police in the 2400 block of Elden Avenue about 3 p.m. on a $10,000 warrant for civil contempt, Costa Mesa police Lt. Clay Epperson said. Details about the warrant were not available late Friday, but civil contempt includes non-payment of court fees, including child support.
Smiley, who starred with his ex-girlfriend in the Bravo show “Date My Ex: Jo and Slade,” was later booked in the Orange County jail.

Date My Ex: Updates
- Slade has traded his douchey hats for a women’s scarf in a bohemian paisley print. He answers viewer comments regarding his choices in accessories on his blog. He tries to play it off as though these accessories were merely lying around the bachelor pad and he simply picked them up and threw them on. Because straight men are so often subject to flights of fashion fancy…I see through your lies, Slade Smiley.
- Jo has terrible taste in men. She always picks the wrong guy. Always.
- Jo most likely has Bravo producers telling her (via earpiece) who to choose so as to maximize conflict in the house.
- The male model from Napa looks more like a troll than any of the other contestants.
- Mya still has the worst voice and accent of all time. She is also the most physically attractive person on the show.
- Blonde guy from Chicago should probably win. He seems the nicest.
- Jo’s face is always oily.
- Jo often seems to be emulating Paris Hilton in her speech patterns and delivery. It does not achieve her desired effect.
- Jo prefers to refer to all males as “cute boys.” Jo seems to think she’s on a seventh-grade dating show.
- As I predicted a few weeks ago, next week’s episode will feature a jealous breakdown by Slade. Things are moving along nicely.
